Copper is the most recycled metal in the world and much of the demand is currently met through recycling.

The process is summarized in the collection and subsequent sorting of copper scrap according to its purity. Depending on their level, they are either sent directly to the smelter or undergo treatment.

Recycled copper is used in the manufacture of pipes, roofing sheets, electronic chips, motor and transformer parts, coins, among others. Copper and its derivatives, whether in pure form or contained in a final product, can be recycled at all stages of the product life cycle.
